Christian James Meredith OK, so I went off the rails and decided on the phrase:
Ner al'verde ori jare'la. Kaysh viini at darjetii'la ori'ramikade o'r dha, ures kute bat kaysh shebs, bal ures ganar ori'shya mirsh o'r orikih kovid. Kaysh mirsh solus.
This would be impossibly unfair if I didn't give you guys information on it though, so PLEASE REFER TO THESE LINKS :3

stellar: great. Stella: related to the stars.

Дайте Нефть Из Баку Anyone's got a Swedish corpus? I need to find out how recurrent is "ställla" before going on studying this language.
Sarah Karoline David: http://www.svenskaakademien.se/svenska_spraket/svenska_akademiens_ordlista/saol_pa_natet/ordlista
"Ställe" isn't usually problematic. Only when making 'racks'. I'd never seen it used to mean 'racks' until Our Professor's text.
"Ställe" isn't usually problematic. Only when making 'racks'. I'd never seen it used to mean 'racks' until Our Professor's text.
Дайте Нефть Из Баку I laughed a bit to "al'verde" because it looks like Italian "essere al verde" (lit.: to be in the green), which means to be broke.
Ner al'verde ori jare'la = my commander is asking for it?
Freaking mandalorians.

Malin Elisabeth Nilsson Att ställa (verb)= to place or put someting somewhere. Ett ställe= a place. Ett ställ = a rack as in "diskställ" where you put your clean dishes. It could also be an outfit as in "regnställ" to protect you from rain. I cant think of any more "ställen och ställ" Sarah Karoline.
Sarah Karoline Malin Tack för att svara frågan jag ställde medan jag tvättade diskarna i diskställan! [Thank you for answering the question I asked you whilst washing dishes in the dish rack :)]
So "ställa" and "ställe" shouldn't create us Sprogspelare such chaos!

Дайте Нефть Из Баку My commander is asking for it. He's running toward the Sith supercommando [dressed] in dark, without [wearing] underwear on his butt, and with nothing but his brain in his head.
He's a lone cell (lone wolf?).
That was weird.

Victor Wåhlstrand Skärström *Tack för att du svarade frågan jag ställde medan jag diskade disken i diskstället.
At least where I live you rarely "tvättar" the dishes (which is always in the singular BTW!), since that's reserved for clothes or other stuff.

Victor Wåhlstrand Skärström Preguntita: Do we have an actual round, or are we just sociably chatting?
Sarah Karoline Victor: Tack för din korrigering! "Tvätta diskar" is very likely another false memory "Att diska disken" sounds comical too
"Jag tvättar disken" In English that sounds like I'm washing one plate only. The others are left dirty on the worktop!
hihi

Christian James Meredith Ori jate, Дайте! (Very good)
However, there's some errors:
ori'ramikad is supercommando, but there's another vowel in the text.
The bit about the dark is ambiguous (mah bad) but it should mean "in the dark"... As in, "he's running in the dark".

"ures ganar ori'shya solus mirsh o'r kaysh orikih kovid"! SORRY!

Sarah Karoline Victor We have a round. I've been working on it off FB. David, however, has contributed some translation here. Above
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter I'm back....

I can't see the current phrase in spragspelet website.

Victor Wåhlstrand Skärström Not as interesting in this thread. I prefer when I can connect it to other languages.
Sarah Karoline I thought perhaps you'd invented it, or something like it! haha There was some Old Norse this morning.
Дайте Нефть Из Баку I was going to say something about Mandalorian being an off-shoot of Ancient Slovene but nevermind.
Sarah Karoline I didn't know you constructed languages. Can't you see the Slovak (not Slovene Дайте ), influences though. You can always see what you want in etymology which is why it's a great subject!
Victor Wåhlstrand Skärström I do, that's why I found it uninteresting. ^^ There's a whole other group for this! Isn't there, Christian?
Sarah Karoline And regarding the round:
дайте : have you done the translation? [p.s. I cannot tag your name at all today. I've pasted it, I've typed it in Russian. But nada!]

Marius Vincenzii Dennischter CJM probably has gone to bed. It's almost midnight there in SA.
Unless his curfew doesn't apply on weekends night.
I tried to translate that Mando'a thing bymyself, but what I get is exactly what David has written....
BTW where's Maria
teaching?

Sarah Karoline I'm sure you've already translated it perfectly. I've been working on the first sentence for quite a while! Дайте
Sarah Karoline Vincensiu You two get more than me! I imagine Maria is waiting for a student or teaching!
Maria Weidner Vincensiu I had been teaching indeed! Two lessons! But I agree with Victor... I don't like this Starwars stuff... I may be a nerd, but I am not that nerdy!
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Ok, while waiting for CJM to wake up, let's play a mini game Maria.
translate this to ENGLISH!!
Different river, liverS if street in-side multiply.
translate this to ENGLISH!!
Different river, liverS if street in-side multiply.
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter no-no, I want you to translate them into English
They are not English atm...
and there is a reason why I wrote it liverS not livers
They are not English atm...
and there is a reason why I wrote it liverS not livers
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter there's also a reason why I only invite you in this game, and not Sarah/David, because most likely you are the only person who can solve it.
now do you understand why??
now do you understand why??
Maria Weidner Victor, don't tell me that you don't speak Indonesian?! Is there really any language you DON'T speak?
Maria Weidner but I only see english words.. lain danau.. , hatiS kalau jalan... ok, that's not english
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter ok good, I see you starting to get it. but I want the final answer to be in English
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter nope. there's another word for that.
multiply is actually close to bertambah but that's not what I want
Now translate them to English
multiply is actually close to bertambah but that's not what I want
Now translate them to English
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter I used the word river because I can't find any equivalent word for that in English...
Hmmm...
let me change the sentence:
different multiply, liverS if street in-side multiply.
the first multiply = last multiply
Hmmm...

Maria Weidner whut? usually after lain? I am not Indonesian enough.. lain apa ya? lain semua..lain cowok, lain ... wadu..aku udah 20 thn gak ke indo...
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter you already got the word above!!
lain xxxxx
xxxx can means river or multiply
lain xxxxx
xxxx can means river or multiply
Maria Weidner lain kali hati2 kalo jalan disisi kali - Be careful the next time you walk on the riverside!
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter ok you got it
that's what happen if you give an English dictionary to an Indonesian guy who doesn't speak English at all
Lain kali, hati2 kalau jalan dipinggir kali:
Different river, liver-liver if street in-side multiply

Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Not that I can think of...
too bad Arief is in the dreamland atm, I actually need his help to translate a Malay song. This song was very popular when I was still in school, but sadly it's very difficult to understand. I do get the intended meaning, but the vocabs are very archaic :S
the words are very beautifully arranged though

Maria Weidner I always cry when I listen to that song, because I miss Yogya so much! I know Chrisye and yes, I know that song very well!
Дайте Нефть Из Баку We're waiting for Christian to wake up and say something about the translations. I think I'll see the results tomorrow morning.
Victor Wåhlstrand Skärström Please don't do conlangs again; spoils the fun. :p
Or I'll take one of my own if I win again...!
Or I'll take one of my own if I win again...!
Sarah Karoline I haven't had time to complete the translation I started this morning, but I have watched Star Wars in dialect on youtube..
Victor: "when you win again", you mean!
Daite the Untaggable : I'm sure your translation was perfect!

Arief Wibowo Greetings everyone! Before attempting to translate Cindai, let me test a possible solution for the tagging problem...
Arief Wibowo Failed... Turns out typing here is different than using Facebook API (Maria Weidner: Not FIRE http://j.mp/15Am7Db)
Application Programming Interface, the way machines talk among themselves
Application Programming Interface, the way machines talk among themselves
Arief Wibowo Next is I somehow agree with Victor Wåhlstrand Skärström, don't have conlangs except it's very similar to natural language
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter really? I got no problem with tagging though?
Even when I do @+D, I can see David's name being suggested.
lol, even when I only typed "Davi"

lol, even when I only typed "Davi"
Arief Wibowo Me neither (80% of the times), but API spec says you can say @[user_id], I thought it will work here too. It could be of help for those who have problem (Sarah Karoline and my 20%)
Maria Weidner I guess both of you Indonesians are very young..why do you like such a granny music? :p
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Yeah, I don't know what's
kias, dendam (mendendam unggas??), pawana, tiung, rentah, paut, laman. and I don't know what's equivalent to merajuk??
kias, dendam (mendendam unggas??), pawana, tiung, rentah, paut, laman. and I don't know what's equivalent to merajuk??
Arief Wibowo I am in some sort of time field, I am 22 years old, but my body grows probably 3x faster (I face pleathora of health problems )
Sarah Karoline Maria You may prefer the Indonesian music videos to what I heard today!
Arief: I'm having problems tagging other people in other thread, not just Daite the Untaggable. I am Numero Uno of these 20%! I wondered if there might be a limit to how many times we can tag people and this is why I can't tag my "intended targets?"

Marius Vincenzii Dennischter I can never tag people in my galaxy, but in my lappy no prob.
Sarah Karoline r u using mobile or computer?

Arief Wibowo I like Iwan Fals (e.g., http://youtu.be/YRbJdrK8HZU), Koes Plus (e.g., http://youtu.be/CBWtjIqO3TY), and most of those from the same era (ballads)
Arief Wibowo Ah, yes, Sarah Karoline, have you tried turning it off and on again? http://youtu.be/p85xwZ_OLX0
Arief Wibowo kias most probably is ber+verb form of kias (=compare)
Tidak berkias most probably is tidak ada kiasan, without comparison (=best?)
Tidak berkias most probably is tidak ada kiasan, without comparison (=best?)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Cindai = kain selendang yg disimpan seorang gadis untuk dipakai d hari pernikahanñ, google: Iyeth Bustami arti kata Cindai
Arief Wibowo (for others) the song Vincensiu Denis asked me to translate is not only a song, it's also a pantun/poem (like his last Indonesian round)!
Sarah Karoline Vincensiu I'm using my computer now, but I've also tried using my mobile and for the last few days I've been using computers either at work or in a net cafe. I've also tried using other search engines. This evening the tagging is working, apart from when I try to tag "Mr Untaggable"
Arief : I've closed the browser, and even turned off my computer. At the moment I can tag all of you, but Mr Untaggable.
Arief : I've closed the browser, and even turned off my computer. At the moment I can tag all of you, but Mr Untaggable.
Arief Wibowo I have heard of mendendam unggas before but no idea.
Pawana should mean wind/angin (Sanskrit)
Pawana should mean wind/angin (Sanskrit)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Arief logically mendendam should b mnagkap, berburu, mncari, or sthg like that
Sarah hmmm.... strange...
well it takes few seconds for the suggested name to appear...
I wonder why... you can't tag Mr untagable at all??

Arief Wibowo According to my good friend the Kamus Dewan (equivalent of Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia/The Big/Great/Huge Indonesian Dictionary", tiung is a kind of this bird: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gracula
http://prpm.dbp.gov.my/Search.aspx?k=tiung
http://prpm.dbp.gov.my/Search.aspx?k=tiung
Maria Weidner hahaha, now I am listening to keroncong! I am missing Indonesia sooo much..you made me remember the good old times...
Sarah Karoline Vincensiu I could tag Дайте most of the time until a few days ago, but not since. I've tried pasting his name from the thread and typing it out myself. Actually there was one person who I couldn't tag the other day.
Strange things happen at sea, as they say! Perhaps my computer will right itself soon!
Strange things happen at sea, as they say! Perhaps my computer will right itself soon!
Maria Weidner Sarah sorry, I am really really nostalgic at the moment.. thanks to these..these..Indonesians! :p
Arief Wibowo There was something I found earlier: you cannot tag minors < 18 years old unless you are friends with him/her
Sarah Karoline Maria Nema problema as they say in Sweden and parts of London! "No problem" I like reading languages, even if I don't understand them - I could use GT, but it seems a bit intrusive! haha
I have heard of some of the regions you have mentioned too, as a friend of mine studied in "Yogye" for a year.
Did you live in Indonesia or have you just stayed there?

Sarah Karoline Arief Wibowo: If it was an age thing then nobody could tag Дайте, so I think fate doesn't like me.
Talking about Дайте without tagging him seems rude! lol
Is this the song that you have been translation?

Maria Weidner when I was still young I've been there 100 times, mostly in Yogya. And my life in Berlin was also completely " indonesianized", and until today, when I see indonesians in the street I start to smile like a "Honigkuchenpferd" as we say in German und must retain myself very hard to not talk to them... Yes, anak2 Indo I have an Indonesian soul.. And nowIm crying..:(
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Sarah Really???? I always thought that Давид И Пустота is an old man with grey hair
Arief Wibowo Hahaha, the grass is greener on the other side experience... I have internationalized my self much that I'm un-Indonesian or un-Chinese (← what most people would associate me with)
Maria Weidner but there are mentalities which ..lebih pas lah... I feel an alien in Germany, but at home in Indonesia. Not so in other countries.
Sarah Karoline Maria: Honigkuchenpferd: Cheshire cat. (honey cookie horse )
This is how I am when I'm wandering round Germany! haha
New name for Дайте, [<-tagged]
Vicensiu [Can't tag you now]: I never ask people their age. It would be so rude.. (and a bit weird!) hahaha

Sarah Karoline Parts of the UK are lovely, but they couldn't be better than the above-mentioned countries. hahaha
Arief Wibowo Oh btw, Jogja! I love Jogja although I have just been there once - 6 months ago - food haven!
Maria Weidner When I came back from Indo I behaved like an Indonesian and people looked at me as if I was crazy... udah makan blom, Arief sama Vin?
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Blum makan, nih baru mau sarapan, museli + youghurt

Maria Weidner LOL!! bercaya ngak, aku ngomong seperti dia! So sweet to see a bule speak and act like an Indonesian...
Maria Weidner but, if I may tell you, one day happened something which made me very proud. I was looking for the entrance of the bank, and a becak driver approached me and said: permisi, bisa bhs indonesia? so I said yes and he said he thought so because I don't look like a tourist at all and seem to be living here for long and if he can help me! I was really happy!
Sama sekali. Aku kenal dia
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter dr Jerman k Indo harga tiketñ brp?

Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Christian James Meredith BANGUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNN!!!!

Christian James Meredith Yeah Comrade Dayte wins but Arief you gotta tag him for me since FB on mobile sux
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Давид И Пустота you WIN according to CJM...
I guess he's sleeping atm.
And so will I, going to bed now... c y in few hours
I guess he's sleeping atm.
And so will I, going to bed now... c y in few hours
Дайте Нефть Из Баку Fun fact #2: "nema problema" is actually Serbian ("there is no problem") and since Serbian is closely related to Slovene this definitely proves that not only the Swedes but also the English are descendants of Proto-Slovenes.
Дайте Нефть Из Баку I won? Jolly good! Be back in a couple of hours with a brand new gut-thrustingly sentence!
Sarah Karoline No, David, your etymology is all wrong!
Fun Fact 3: English and Swedish are descendants of Proto Slovak. The confusion lies in the English speakers who inserted "k". (We never were good at languages). The evidence is here:
Slovenčina [Slovak for "Slovak"]
Slovenščina [Slovene in "Slovene"]
Slovenský / Slovinština [Czech for Slovak/Slovene]
"-sky" is a common Slavic ending for a language/adjective. It's not from the 'k' in the Slovakia.
[As Slovakia is closer to the Urals where the proto-Europeans lived, this also proves that Slovakia is the oldest country in Europe, and thus Slovak is the oldest language of Europe!]
We are all Slovaks!

Arief Wibowo Hello from national aquatic stadium of kuala lumpur I have a feeling that I know what CJM is up to :p Theres only about 2 conlangs that people really use :p
