Дайте Нефть Из Баку Never repeat! Never forget! Never repeat! Never forget! Never repeat! Never forget! Never repeat! Never forget! Never repeat! Never forget!
Sarah Karoline It's ställifyingly fun, Дайте.
Once we learn the 103 meanings of "ställ" words, we'll all be fluent in Swedish. Billy and Victor will confirm this, I'm sure....

Дайте Нефть Из Баку Once we learn all the meanings, the world will reset, the oceans will wipe away anything under 500 m and we will reincarnate into two-headed Bactrian camels. Thus spake Zaraström, the Great Prophet of Javaholm.
Andy Ayres Here's my attempt - this ställ* seems to be a difficult customer!
Do not put the bowl and stand there .. put them on the table here instead!
Set up now and eat your hot dog.
"(A) sausage, you mean?"
"No, it's a hot dog."
No stands were injured during the writing of this challenge.

Andy Ayres yeah, GT is even mentioned on the front page:
"That big long thread with heaps of people trying to decipher each other’s phrases in different languages into English without cheating with Google Translate. "
The challenge is working out a language's structure and vocabulary on your own, the old-fashioned way - with grammars and dictionaries

Sarah Karoline Sorry, Edmund It's true.
We can translate texts by looking up words in a dictionary, in an image search and by a little guesswork.
If we understand the text in under five minutes, then we sit the round out. We may understand the text as it's close to language we know.
You can read the full rules here: http://sprogspelet.arwi.im/rules/

Arief Wibowo Sorry, Edmund Yong, we probably shouldn't have removed the reminder in the 1st post of each thread (we used to remind everyone each time we start a new thread, but have stopped doing so).
To quote The Progenitor:
"Cheating with the help of Google transelate is strictly forbidden!"
And now it's up to Sarah Karoline to decide whether the Google Translate rendered this round totally "spoilt" or still salvagable.
If Sarah deemed necessary, she may start a new round, probably German this time?

Sarah Karoline Ställ is a beautiful world!
Andy I can repeat a sentence you wrote earlier to me...
"just one word and it's yours."
* I wrote "the sausage" but no article is better.*
Do not put the bowl and stand there .. put them on the table here instead!
[Set] up now and eat your hot dog.
"*Sausage, you mean?"
"No, it's a hot dog."

Andy Ayres Hmm, this quite lengthy pause has made me think that any win in this round will be tainted by association, even if, like me, they translated the text without looking at Edmund's google translate.. so I withdraw my last submission :/
Sarah Karoline Update, update, update: A note from the referees.
It has taken the referees a while to decide how to proceed and their unanimous decision is to cancel this round. [They have decided I should start a new round. I'm really sorry, Andy ]
We thank everyone who has taken part, those of you who have submitted texts and those of you who have worked silently off-the-thread, and hope you will partake in the next round, which will start in a few minutes.

Sarah Karoline In the meantime, please enjoy the delightful sounds of Norwegian as sung by Darkthrone or the wonderful tales of Vikings as sung by Hammerfall! See previous post.
Arief Wibowo Edmund Yong, you are very much welcome to join our future rounds, though probably not the next round due to our "minimal effort" rule
Sarah Karoline NEW ROUND INTRODUCTION
So earlier we had a trip to the Lands of the Frozen North, and there we shall stay.
The deities of Ragnakarta have decided to tell you of their culture in the Language of the Sun... many miles away from home.
And thus begins the new round in the next post:
Andy Дайте Adrian Vincensiu Arief Maria Billy Victor Matteo Mikkel
