Marius Vincenzii Dennischter ROUND 244:
أريد أن أذهب إلى أقرب مطعم.
Zoomed Version attached: Ed Blankenship Guess I can't participate ... although that's probably for the best for now lol Wrik Chatterjee Egyptian Arabic or MSA, I think Brad Wilson It's must be MSA. I think Egyptian is عايز اروح الى المطعم الاقربع. Thatcher Ó Donnabháin 'aryd 'an 'aDhb a'ly 'aqrb mT3m -------- I think this is the romanisation(without vowels because (whatever the arabic equivalent to niqudot is) is not there). Don't trust me, I'm bad with Arabic script. And I don't think it's MSA because if it were, the ى would have two dots under it. Marius Vincenzii Dennischter It's actually MSA. I guess it's quite common these days to drop the double dot on ى when it is in the end of a word...
I won't shoot some difficult ancient language after our long stallified round :p
And I don't want to do Romance languages as it will stallified the round as well due to so many ppl who speak Romance languages. Ed Blankenship That's not a ي with out dots. That's an alif maqsura. It is a final a. Marius Vincenzii Dennischter ًred faced. I blame my teacher for not telling me that. Thatcher Ó Donnabháin I blame Omniglot for only including it on maghreb and egyptian dialectical pages. Adrian Baxt-Dent I don't know how to do Arabic script, and I have only just started trying to learn it, but it the first bit a Personal pronoun in some way? With something attached..... ?!?!? (I am going to have to read some more. Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Adrian, I'm not sure how to answer that. But I can't see any obvious pronouns there (aka hidden). This sentence is quite simple actually, just look the words up in dictionary and you can find them. It's pretty straight forward, except the first one, which requires a bit of thinking. But once you get the rest of them it's going to be easier to guess. Adrian Baxt-Dent I can't even find where I put my online Arabic lessons to have a look >:( And I really can't remember the names of any of the Arabic letters.
أريد
looks to me like أنا
the equivalent of "I" but with an added letter.
