Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo New round:
Kamusta ka?
Halina't magsaya
Ipalakpak ang kamay
Ituro ang paa
Padyak sa kanan
Padyak sa kaliwa
Umikot nang umikot
at humanap ng iba

As usual, a minigame of Guess the Language first :)
Christian James Meredith
Christian James Meredith (On my end Mikkel beat Arief by a good 14 or so hours, but perhaps "paper white paths" vs "white paths of paper" is what decided it?)
Christian James Meredith
Christian James Meredith Arief something from the Philippines?

IIRC ng is pretty much their sole preposition? :P
Christian James Meredith
Christian James Meredith Or was that sa? Ah crap I can't remember.
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo (Christian James Meredith, I actually just compiled all the sentences, which were all confirmed before I said "STJÄLCURI FOR THE WIN!! :D ")

Indeed, Tagalog! And "sa" is preposition, along with "ng" :)
Christian James Meredith
Christian James Meredith Oh, looks like they have two then, or someone fibbed to me :D
Christian James Meredith
Christian James Meredith Arief, ah, I see! Whoops!
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo I think there's another one, "ni" or something like that. I don't know Tagalog aside from most basic phrases :P

I had to refer to many sources before giving this round... Or in other words, I had to win my own round first :P
Sarah Karoline
Sarah Karoline Arief
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo Yaaaaay, I've got two :D -- I feel bad to stjälcuri from Vincensiu Dionisiu though... :/
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo Sarah Karoline, give it a try, a sister language to Indo :)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Lucky that I have got so many Pinoy colleague at work.

Kamusta ka? = come stai?
Halina't magsaya = let's rejoice
Ipalakpak ang kamay = clap the hands
Ituro ang paa = point the foot
Padyak sa kanan = step to the right
Padyak sa kaliwa = step to the left
Umikot nang umikot = turn by turn
at humanap ng iba = to look for changes

Is sounds a bit like children song
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo Vincensiu Dionisiu, what's a stai? :)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter "how are you"
como estas, come stai, kamusta, they are all the same
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo The padyak bits are incorrect though :P
The rest are accepted :)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter is it something like angkat/hentakkan kaki kiri, angkat kaki kanan, berputar.....
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo I didn't know enough Spanish unfortunately, or just can't access that knowledge now :P
(and I am waaay past bedtime, muscles sore due to excessive driving practice, and now fixing friend's assignment in Javanese -- the machine one)
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo Yea yea, hentak is the keyword :)
(hentak !== step)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Kamusta ka? = come stai?
Halina't magsaya = let's rejoice
Ipalakpak ang kamay = clap the hands
Ituro ang paa = point the foot
Padyak sa kanan = stomp to the right
Padyak sa kaliwa = stomp to the left
Umikot nang umikot = turn by turn
at humanap ng iba = and look for changes
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo There's a minor problem with "nang", it can't be translated as "by". Make it "turn, turn" or "turn and turn"

And "iba" is not exactly "changes", but related to the same idea. Usually used for objects (including humans)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Halina't magsaya = let's rejoice
Ipalakpak ang kamay = clap the hands
Ituro ang paa = point the foot
Padyak sa kanan = stomp to the right
Padyak sa kaliwa = stomp to the left
Umikot nang umikot = turn and turn
at humanap ng iba = and look for partner
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo Not exactly "partner", but a word to indicate "change" of "partner" :)
(and may drop the Tagalog part since you're headed for the win :D )
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo ↑ two choices: a word or two words, to indicate the same idea (look for [change of partner]). Whichever one you prefer :)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter How are you
Let's rejoice
clap the hands
point the foot
stomp to the right
stomp to the left
turn and turn
and look for other people
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter edited, I accidentally pressed the enter button before completed my previous phrase
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo You win! (in retro arcade style)
And finally, you shall get Sarah Karoline's gold card :)
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo (btw, our website can't handle deleted messages well. I am working on that, slowly)
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo And yes, it's children song, probably equivalent to "if you're happy and you know it clap your hands" song :)
Anna Robbins
Anna Robbins Wow, I've already missed a round? :o
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter Don't you worry, a new one is coming soon...
I'm thinking of a good quality round to bring...
unfortunately my language option is limited
Arief Wibowo
Arief Wibowo It has been some time that a round is solved without the slightest stjälcuri... I will keep Tagalog in mind when ratings are getting too high :P
Sarah Karoline
Sarah Karoline Vincensiu
Sarah Karoline
Sarah Karoline And I've missed a round... :( What will Vincensiu come up with... :)
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter YAAAAY!! That's what I have been waiting for :D
Sarah Karoline
Sarah Karoline I'm glad you like the Gold Card of Celebration, Vincensiu
When I click on "add photo", FB now leads me direct to the folder which contains the Gold Card! haha
Arief I am the Victoress of Deletion and Editing! hihihih
Matteo Cheri
Matteo Cheri Ok guys, I'm back up and online :D Vincensiu please, avoid to be cruel with us ç.ç
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter
Marius Vincenzii Dennischter My languages option is really limited.
I don't want to do a round that I don't know the answer/ not being able to explain really well:
Indonesian: boring, too many, Arief can't play
Italian: Matteo & Davide can't play
Spanish: Too easy, everyone speak Spanish
French: Same as above
Arabic: My vocab is not enough to make a good quality phrase
Mandarin: Too difficult to look for the characters.
Auslan: Too lazy to upload a video.
Sarah Karoline
Sarah Karoline French in Arabic script? Italian in cyrillic?
Anna Robbins
Anna Robbins Or Danish in Futhark :P (kidding)
Sarah Karoline
Sarah Karoline Write an English sentence which we need to translate into another language, eg. French in Furthark!
Anna Good idea!
Anna Robbins
Anna Robbins Haha, Futhark.... I've known people to do that before :P I've even done it before. I used to write regularly in it xD There are plenty of options to mix languages or change things around a bit, as Sarah said, Vincensiu :)
