Marius Vincenzii Dennischter After been awake for 16 hours, and providing 10 hours of physcial services to my clients, I doubt my brain can work this Russian sounding recording out.
I guess I have to wait until the sun in Wales rises again and replenishes my energy.
Until then, I shall proceed to my dreamland through my fluffy boat and soft pillows as its oar.

I found "zabna" in Lojban meaning favorable.

I am away today. I've heard the recording a few times, and it sounds "Slavic"... Here is what I hear.... I can't make a word out of it, so I imagine I'm not hearing words, but sounds...

I t h i n k I would rule out Polish, Czech, Slovak, Slovene, Serbian..... I'm really unsure!!! I heard Serbian for three weeks not so long ago, so if it's Serbian I was hoping I'd recognise words and the tone.

I don't speak Tagalog, but since I got few Filipino friends, I can always make a Tagalog round or post some Tagalog phrases on my wall.

Andy Ayres This round is nigh on impossible for me, because I am quite deaf and find it difficult enough to understand my own languages being spoken sometimes (by sometimes, read every day) :o. I've played this through about 50 times, and have made monumental progress :p - the first word. It sounds to me like it is /blɔxa/, "блоха" (flea in Russian and Ukrainian.)

This text definitely doesn't sound Polish, and the lack of vowel reduction makes me personally feel like ruling out Russian, but I'm probably the last person to take your word from!

Sarah Karoline Dajte has just confirmed it's not Serbian or the other languages I mentioned. I think, emphasis, think it's an East Slavic language based on the intonation and sounds I hear....I could be completely wrong!
