Andy Ayres Ok, new round!

This should be relatively simple for the Germanic fans here.

Yn dizze nacht binne Jo my nei,
In nacht sa frjemd en fredich.
In glimke fan in nije tiid
dat bin ik no sa nedich

Christian James Meredith I thought I'd be excluded by this round too but it's like the Middle English round again!

"In this night you are beside me,
A night so fremd and [scary].
A glimpse of a new time,
that am I now so needy".

There's gotta be a better word than "scary". That said, I feel like that's what it should be like, even though the dictionary says freed = friday.

I'm also on the edge with nedich. I don't know if other Germanic dialects beyond English can do this. Dutch nodig = needed, necessary. So perhaps there's that to consider.

I wanted to say "needful" haha. "I AM SO NEEDFUL, MINE LADY, LIKE AN NEWABORNE ENFANT. NOU MARRY ME."

Fredich is indeed a relative of Dutch vredig, German friedlich. Nedich has naught to do with low, which is usually "leech" in Frisian.

Andy Ayres Fremd is a dialectical word for strange.

That last sentence has the potential to cause trouble, because it doesn't work like Dutch works in one important way
